Comments: I’m 6 months out from my DFR (Distal Femoral Reconstruction). Dr. Alden and his staff were phenomenal. It was a complex surgery and I was told it would take about a year for total healing. He gave me my two options and I was using a walker on day one. (The other - to redo my femur - might take 7-8 months to walk again. I’d crushed it, so maybe that wouldn't work…). Now with physical therapy and pool exercises, I’m doing great. At my age, I may not ski again, but plan on doubles tennis and pickleball. Thank you, Dr. Alden, Christian, and Dr. Shah!
