Comments: Dr. Alden is a fabulous orthopedic surgeon. I chose Dr. Alden from a WEB listing and it was the best decision I could have made. I developed pain in my left hip and thought it might be a pinched nerve or pulled muscle. After seeing my X-rays he immediately diagnosed the problem as a "bone on bone" hip that needed to be replaced. He discussed the hip replacement surgery fully preparing me for the surgery and post surgical course. Dr. Alden has a great personality and demeanor and he made me feel very comfortable with the planned hip repair. I underwent hip replacement surgery on a Monday and was discharged home on Tuesday. Wow, I was walking with a walker and using the stairs the next day. Technically, he used the anterior approach that he said would provide a quicker recovery. Dr. Alden's staff called me weekly to check on my status and ask if I was having any problems or needed anything. They were great. I had 2 weeks of home physical therapy and in one month I was walking as if there was never a problem. Today I had my 7-month follow up and my hip is in perfect condition. I am so grateful that I chose Dr. Alden.
